Shipping Policy

We've outlined our processing times, delivery estimates, and import tax information below to help you plan ahead with confidence. Our goal is to provide a smooth and transparent ordering experience, with clear expectations around delivery and any potential import charges

A) Processing times and shipping times

Processing times: Since all our products are handmade to order, and are often monogrammed with initials, processing times vary from 1 to 3 business days after receiving your order confirmation email. 

Tracking information: Once we dispatch your order, you will receive another notification with the tracking details. All shipments are sent via reliable express couriers such as FedEx, DHL, or postal services (USPS), with complete tracking information from origin to destination. The available shipping method and courier details will be displayed at checkout before you complete your order. 

International Shipping Transit times:

DHL Express Worldwide: 3 to 4 business days

FedEx Express: 3 to 4 business days

Postal Services: 10 to 12 business days

*While we carefully prepare all paperwork to avoid custom-related delays, shipping times may occasionally be affected by factors outside our control, such as weather, flight schedules, or customs clearance. 

B)Country wise information on Import Duties & Taxes (if applicable)

Please review the VAT rates and customs duty information below to understand the potential import charges that may apply to your order. While we provide this information as a guide, final duties, taxes, and related charges are determined during customs processing and handled directly by the courier (DHL Express or FedEx Express).

Import charges are assessed by local customs authorities and courier partners based on destination country regulations and shipment details. If any charges are due, the courier will provide the official invoice and payment details during the delivery process or shortly after delivery.

United States (U.S.):
U.S. orders include any applicable import tariffs in the price, so no additional fees are due upon delivery. What you see is what you pay — everything is included.

Canada:
For deliveries to Canada, Goods and Services Tax or applicable provincial taxes may apply according to Canadian laws.

  • Paying on delivery: The courier will collect these taxes (rate depending on the province) with a small brokerage/handling fee (approx. CAD 10 to CAD 12), and a receipt will be provided.
  • All-inclusive price option: If you choose an all-inclusive price, we prepay the courier, eliminating the brokerage/handling fee. VAT is included in the price, and nothing else is payable at delivery. To arrange this, please contact us at hello@outofthefactory.com.

European Union (EU):
When ordering to an EU country, import VAT is charged at your country’s standard rate, the same as local VAT for a domestic purchase.

A)For orders with a total value below €150:
The courier (FedEx, DHL, or UPS) will handle customs clearance and may collect the following charges during the delivery process or shortly after delivery:

  • A flat customs duty of €3 per shipment
  • Import VAT (standard rate as per country, approx. 19% to 24%)
  • A small brokerage/handling fee charged by the courier for processing and paying these amounts on your behalf (approx. €10 to €15)

B)For orders with a total value over €150:
The same charges may apply, except that the flat €3 customs duty is replaced by a customs duty charge of approximately 2% to 3% of the shipment value.

All-inclusive price option: By choosing an all-inclusive price, we prepay the courier, eliminating the brokerage/handling fee. Import VAT (and any applicable customs duty) is included in the price, and nothing else is payable at delivery. United Kingdom (UK):
When ordering to the UK, import VAT is charged at the standard UK rate, the same as domestic VAT for local purchases.

  • Paying on delivery: The courier will collect import VAT (approx. 20%) along with a small brokerage/handling fee (approx. £10 to £12) 
  • All-inclusive price option: Choosing an all-inclusive price allows us to prepay the courier, eliminating the brokerage fee. Import VAT is included in the price, and nothing else is payable at delivery. To arrange the all-inclusive price option, please contact us at hello@outofthefactory.com

Switzerland:
Orders to Switzerland are subject to import VAT at 8.1%, the country’s standard rate, the same as domestic VAT for local purchases.

  • Paying on delivery: The courier collects import VAT (approx. 8.1%) along with a small brokerage/handling fee (approx. CHF 20 to CHF 22) 
  • All-inclusive price option: If you choose an all-inclusive price, we prepay the courier, eliminating the brokerage fee. Import VAT is included in the price, and nothing else is payable at delivery. To arrange the all-inclusive price option, please contact us at hello@outofthefactory.com

Australia:
For orders under AUD $1000, no VAT, duties, or additional charges are typically due upon delivery.

New Zealand:
Items valued at NZD $1000 or less can generally be imported without incurring VAT or customs duties.

United Arab Emirates (UAE):
VAT and customs clearance fees may apply in accordance with UAE laws. Customs charges vary by country and are beyond the seller’s control.

  • Paying on delivery: The courier may collect VAT along with a small brokerage/handling fee.

Rest of the World:
Duties, taxes, and customs fees may apply depending on your country’s import regulations. These are usually payable to the courier upon delivery and are the responsibility of the recipient.
