Shipping policy

Since all our products are handmade and made to order, processing times vary from 3 to 5 business days after receiving your order confirmation email. Once we dispatch your product, you would receive another notification with the tracking details. All our shipments are sent via Express Couriers having excellent Customer Service, with complete tracking information.

Unfortunately, as of now, we are not providing Local Delivery Options*.

Information on Duties and Taxes, if applicable:
For Customers in the European Union (EU) : If the order delivery address is set to one of the EU Countries, our prices would be inclusive of VAT & Shipping. Customs Duty is not due for goods, provided directly to the buyer when their value does not exceed 150 Euros. 

For Customers in the United Kingdom (UK) : If the order delivery address is set to the UK, our prices would be inclusive of VAT & Shipping. Customs Duty is not due for goods, provided directly to the buyer when their value does not exceed £135 (GBP 135) 

For Customers in the United States: Orders above USD 800 to the United States would incur Custom Duties, payable upon Delivery. Custom Duties, are difficult to estimate at the time of billing and vary from country to country, and are unfortunately out of our control, as sellers. 

For Customers in Australia: In Australia, shipments at or below AUD 1000, but excluding tobacco, tobacco products and alcoholic beverages, are considered low value imports. There are generally no duties or taxes or charges to pay at the border for low value imports. To summarise: If your order value from our store is less than AUD 1000, there would be no VAT due on delivery of your goods. 

For Customers in New Zealand: 

Items purchased from overseas websites for NZD 1000 or less can come into the country (be imported) without incurring any duty, or charges. If your order value from our store is less than NZD 1000, there would be no VAT, or additional fees due upon delivery. 

For Customers in the United Arab Emirates: VAT Charges and Customs Clearance Fees may be applicable on your order, as per UAE Laws. Please note that Customs Fees vary from country to country and is unfortunately something we sellers do not have control over. 

How do I check the status of my order?

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available. 

If you haven’t received your order within 10-12 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at hello@outofthefactory.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you, and address the issue

Should I size up if I use a laptop skin or keyboard cover?

Yes, if you use additional accessories, consider one size up for extra space. For example, the Surface Pro is commonly used with a Microsoft Keyboard. To keep the fit perfect, we offer two sizes - one for use with the keyboard and one for use without it.

My laptop is exactly 14", will the 14” case be too tight

No — we account for minor variations in size to ensure a comfortable fit

I'm confused — does “14 inch” refer to the screen size or the actual laptop dimensions

For the most accurate fit, we recommend providing your laptop’s exact model number. This allows us to reference the official dimensions (Length × Width × Height) and ensure your case is tailored to your specific device

How many documents can I carry along with my laptop inside the case?

The case is designed to fit your laptop along with a few documents or slim pocket notebooks. However, please note that the total thickness of the case is around 25–30 mm, so if your laptop is on the thicker side (e.g. 20–22 mm), the available space for additional items may be more limited. For reference, 100 sheets of 80 GSM paper is about 10 mm thick, and MacBooks are typically around 14–16 mm, which allows for about 30–40 sheets of paper to fit alongside your laptop. It ultimately depends on how you utilize the interior compartments — the case is ideal for essentials, but not meant for carrying bulky stacks of paper or accessories

Can I store a charger inside the leather case?

As our leather cases are designed for a slim profile, including a charger, such as the one for a MacBook, would add unnecessary bulk. To maintain the sleekness of the case, we do not recommend storing a charger inside. For extra storage, we suggest exploring our Leather Tech Pouches , designed to accommodate accessories like chargers without compromising on style.
